Making a Popsicle Stick Witch & Black Cat
Use the following instructions to make both Halloween characters:
1. First, join the popsicle sticks together.
Line up 5 mini sticks to make the black cat and 4 regular popsicle sticks for the witch.
Glue one small stick across the back of the cat and two sticks across the back of the witch. These supports will hold the sticks securely together.

2.Paint the popsicle sticks.
Use black paint to cover the cat.
For the witch, paint the top portion green and the bottom portion black.

Now give each character its details:
Black Cat:

1. To make the cat ears, cut out two black triangles.
Use one black triangle as a template to trace another shape on purple paper, then cut the purple triangle a little smaller.
Center the purple triangle on top of the black one and glue it in place.
Glue one finished ear near each upper corner of the popsicle sticks.

2. Glue on a pair of tiny googly eyes.

3. Twist 3 purple pipe cleaners into a braid, then glue them on as whiskers.

4. Glue a tiny purple pom-pom just above the whiskers for the cat’s nose.

5. Wrap a black pipe cleaner around a pencil to create a coil.

6. Glue the black pipe cleaner onto the back to make the cat’s tail.
Finish the face by painting on a white mouth.

Witch:

1. Cut a witch’s hat from black felt and attach it to the top with glue. Black cardstock is another suitable option for making the hat.
Glue a strip of goldglittery foam paper across the hat to form the brim.

2. Add two little googly eyes.
Then draw the witch’s nose and mouth with a black marker.

3. Cut thin strips from orange felt, or use orange cardstock, and glue them around both sides of the witch’s face.

4. Finish the witch by adding two purple buttons.
To make the broom: Cut a rectangle from brown cardstock and snip several slits into one side. Glue it to the end of a popsicle stick, then attach the completed broom to the witch’s base.

We hope you have fun making these spooky Halloween popsicle stick crafts!
